Who is the author?

Hi! 👋 My name is Yaroslav Tkachenko, I’m a software engineer and architect.

I’ve been a tech lead in the data engineering space since 2018. I’ve worked on large data platforms and streaming data pipelines powering Call of Duty games (at Activision) and e-commerce experiences (at Shopify). I was also a founding engineer at Goldsky, where I led a team that built a self-serve streaming data platform.

I’ve worked all over the stack, from running Apache Kafka on bare metal to building dashboards and UIs.

What to expect?
